GAUGE
5 stitches = 4″ [10 cm].

INSTRUCTIONS
Notes:
• Right side of project is facing at all times.
• ‘Working yarn’ is held behind stitches throughout work.
• Loops from working yarn are always pulled through stitches from back to front of work.

Scarf
With MC, count 9 loops for foundation row (noting yarn end is at far right and all loops are facing upwards).
1st row: Working from left to right, pull 10th loop (from ‘working yarn’) up through 9th loop (last loop of foundation row) from behind to create a knit stitch. Pull next loop from working yarn up through next loop of foundation. Continue in this manner to end of row. Do not turn work. 9 stitches in row.

2nd row:
Working from right to left, pull next loop from working yarn up from behind through last stitch worked on previous row.
*Pull next loop from working yarn up from behind through next stitch. Repeat from * across to end of row. Do not turn.

3rd row
: Working from left to right, pull next loop from working yarn up from behind through last stitch worked on previous row.
*Pull next loop from working yarn up from behind through next stitch. Repeat from * across to end of row. Do not turn.

Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows until Scarf measures approximately 85″ [215 cm].

Bind off row: Working in same direction as last row, pull 2nd stitch through first stitch. Pull 3rd stitch through 2nd stitch. Pull 4th stitch through 3rd stitch. Continue in this manner to end of row. Cut last loop to create a yarn ‘tail’. Tie to secure and weave in ends.

Bunny Ears (make 2) With MC, cut each of first 3 loops of yarn close to base to create a tail. Count 6 loops for foundation round. Tie tail to yarn between 6th and 7th loops to create ring. Place all loops facing upwards.

1st rnd: Working from right to left, pull first loop from working yarn up through first loop of round (first loop to left of tie) to create a knit stitch. Pull next loop from working yarn up through next loop of foundation round. Continue in this manner to end of round. Place safety pin between first and last stitches to mark end of round. 6 stitches in round.

2nd rnd: Working from right to left, pull first loop from working yarn up through first stitch of round. Pull next loop from working yarn up through next stitch of round. Continue in this manner to end of round.

3rd rnd: Working from right to left, *pull two loops from working yarn  up through the first stitch of round to increase 1 stitch. Pull next loop from working yarn up through next stitch of round. Repeat from * until end of round. 9 loops in round.

4th to 6th rnds: Working from right to left, pull first loop from working yarn up through first stitch of round. Pull next loop from working yarn up through next stitch of round. Continue in this
manner to end of round.  Cut each of next 6 loops of yarn close to base to create a tail. Pull tail through loops in last round so they cinch together. Weave in end on top.

Inner Ear (make 2)
With A, count 4 loops for foundation row (noting yarn end is at far right and all loops are facing upwards).

1st row: Working from left to right, pull 5th loop (from ‘working yarn’) up through 4th loop (last loop of foundation row) from behind to create a knit stitch. Pull next loop from working yarn up
through next loop of foundation. Continue in this manner to end of row. Do not turn work. 4 stitches in row.

2nd row: *Place first loop of round on top of second loop creating double loop – treat this double loop as 1 stitch. Pull next loop from working yarn up through double stitch – decrease made. Repeat this one more time to make two decreases over row. 2 stitches in row.

3rd row: *Place first loop of round on top of second loop creating double loop – treat this double loop as 1 stitch. Pull next loop from working yarn up through double stitch – decrease made.
1 stitch in row. Cut 3 loops and pull tail through last loop to secure. Use tail to stitch Inner Ear on top of Bunny Ear using large tapestry needle. Use large tapestry needle and tail from the Bunny Ears to stitch onto corners of one end of Scarf.

Bunny Tail
With A, cut each of first 6 loops of yarn close to base to create a tail. Count 10 loops for foundation round. Tie tail to yarn between 10th and 11th loops to create ring.
Place all loops facing upwards. 1st rnd: Working from right to left, pull first loop from working yarn up through first loop of round (first loop to left of tie) to create a knit stitch. Pull next loop
from working yarn up through next loop of foundation round. Continue in this manner to end of round. Place safety pin between first and last stitches to mark end of round. 10 loops in round.

2nd to 4th rnds: Working from right to left, pull first loop from working yarn up through first stitch of round. Pull next loop from working yarn up through next stitch of round. Continue in this
manner to end of round. 10 loops in round. Cut next 6 loops close to base to create a tail. Pull tail through loops in last round so they cinch together. Weave in end. Use tail from starting round
of Bunny Tail to stitch it to the opposite end of Scarf from ears. Cinch the bottom of Scarf and bottom of the Bunny Tail together while stitching it with tapestry needle.

Bunny Face
Cut 6 loops of A close to base and cut strand off. Use tapestry needle to stitch on a bunny nose 4 rows down from Ears as pictured. Use embroidery thread to stitch on black button eyes.
