Contrast B Retro Stripe (4971) 4 balls

Size U.S. 10 (6 mm) circular knitting needle 36″ [91.5 cm] long or size needed to obtain gauge.

MEASUREMENTS

Approx 36″ [91.5 cm] wide x 46″ [117 cm] long.

GAUGE

16 sts and 22 rows = 4″ [10 cm] in stocking stitch.

INSTRUCTIONS

Note: When changing colors, do not break yarn. Carry yarn not in use loosely up side of work.

With A, cast on 147 sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle in rows, knit 4 rows (garter st), noting 1st row is WS.
Next row: (WS). Knit, inc 10 sts evenly across. 157 sts.

Proceed as follows:
1st row: (RS). With A, K8. *Sl1Pwyib. K3. Rep from * to last 5 sts. K5.
2nd row: With A, K8. *Sl1Pwyif. K3. Rep from * to last 5 sts. K5.
3rd row: With B, K6. *Sl1Pwyib. K3. Rep from * to last 7 sts. Sl1Pwyib. K6.
4th row: With B, K6. *Sl1Pwyif. K3. Rep from * to last 7 sts. Sl1Pwyib. K6. These 4 rows form pat.

Cont in pat until Blanket measures approx 45″ [114.5 cm], ending on a 4th row. Break B.
Next row: (RS). With A, knit, dec 10 sts evenly across row. 147 sts. Knit 4 rows.
Cast off knitwise (WS).
